Effects of meditation
As we replenish our energy through inviting or inducing cosmic energy into our body, it enters our head and works its way down through our body. It heals and opens up the meridians in our body. It relaxes our blood vessels, lowers our blood pressure, and increases our blood flow and energy flow throughout our body. Our body becomes warmer. We may perspire even in the midst of winter. Saliva flow in the mouth increases when we mediate well. After meditation, we feel relaxed, energized. We think more clearly. Our anxieties and worries subside. We feel relaxed and not tired any more. Regular meditation practitioners have sharper senses: we see better, hear better, smell better. Our circulation is improved. We feel warm. Our hands are warm even in winter due to improved circulation and increased qi. We need less warm clothes and we lower our heating at home in winter. When we increase our cosmic energy in our body, our sicknesses, illnesses, and pain disappear. Chinese medical practitioners use acupuncture to stimulate and open up the clogged qi junctions in the patient’s body, thereby to increase the flow of qi (energy flow) to cure the patient’s illness or pain. Meditation achieves the same result.
